Reading through a recruiting blog and came across a post about the MOST annoying phrases/words that recruiters hear during interviews. I thought I would share them with you before your next interview. “You know” They don’t know. If they did they wouldn’t be asking you. “Clichés” Recruiters want to hear about YOUR brand. What you have to offer. Don’t dilute your message by using common clichés that the recruiter has heard way too often. “Like I said” This just sounds rude. The recruiter has a million things on his/her mind and might’ve missed what you said in a previous question or maybe misunderstood. “A real people person” Being a “people” person is a requirement in today’s workforce except for a few rare exceptions. "Absolutely" Sounds too overpromising to recruiters. "I'm open to anything" It’s one thing to be flexible and another to sound desperate for any job that will take you. What are your thoughts? Is there any words/phrases you think should be included here? Tell us @iHispano !
