The lack of professionals in my family made me doubt, many times, whether or not it was necessary to work towards a degree, since I had no mentor or a close family member to guide me in making the right decision. Eventually, as I exercised my profession as a journalist, the war against terrorism and narcotrafficking, overcame me with terror, as I suffered through the intimidation that any war victim must face. B. As a public correspondent I feel that it is my duty to be impartial and analytical when observing occurrences and when giving my opinion as necessary. I also learned that the media plays a transcendental role in the formation of leaders and in the preservation of the culture and its values.
