POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineer is responsible to support the areas of process development, process implementation, process improvement, and cost reductions. The individual will serve as a technical resource for maintenance, quality, product engineering and manufacturing; and will work within teams to ensure the most effective operation of our processes.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Troubleshoot problems encountered in current processes.- Generate ideas and complete actions to reduce costs.- Work on issues to eliminate problems by identifying root cause and provide solutions.- Ensure that all processes are documented.- Assist in product launches.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
- Minimum 3 years related work experience; experience in the automotive industry or in a global manufacturing company preferred.
- Must have good organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills essential.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Electrical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer with at least 2 years experience in the following:
- Siemens Controllers
- Micro-logics
- Allen Bradley
- Fanuc Robots
- Fanuc CNC
- Rockwell Control Logix
- Powder Metal work experience a must
