Job Description:This paralegal will supportan Assistant General Counsel and will manage litigation in support of the company’s Special Assets Department.Responsibilities:

Litigation case management under the supervision of the Assistant General Counsel in charge of corporate Special Assets transactions

Review of legal documents

Significant interaction with members of the Special Assets Department and other Bank business units

Document production and client interviews

Clerical and administrative supportJob Experience:Basic Qualifications:• High school diploma and paralegal certificate OR 2 year college degree• 2 years of corporate or law firm experience managing litigation cases in a banking or financial industryPreferred Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree• 3+ years in a law firm or in-house legal department as a senior paralegal, project manager or equivalent with significant litigation experience in support to clients in the banking industry• Ability to prepare discovery and to identify issues for supervising attorney• General familiarity with commercial finance litigation• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both on teams and independently• Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize work• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and comfort in interacting with executivesRelocation assistance will not be offered with this role.Capital One will not file non-immigrant visa petitions for alien workers.As a recipient of TARP funding and under ARRA regulations, Capital One will not sponsor new H-1B petitions or transfer existing H1B VisasNo agencies please.
