Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to support the development of efficient and effective Airport Operations processes through the use of continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
  • Help to define the standardized processes that are both efficient and effective, and support the front line leadership to embrace the identification and elimination of all types of waste through implementation of process change.
  • The Sr. Continuous Improvement Specialist will be part of a team of multiple backgrounds and skills that will drive these efforts in the field.
  • Also leads small teams of employees to ensure execution of defined process changes to meet the defined performance goals.
  • The Continuous Improvement Specialist is accountable for helping stations identify, design a solution for and implement process changes in the Airport operating environment with concentrated focus in Customer Service and Ramp Service.
  • Responsible for supporting the delivery of, productivity improvements of 15% or more.
  • Responsible to be the expert in both the how of undergoing core process change and the resulting processes.
  • Must be adept at deploying hard operating system changes and metrics changes as well as soft mindset and behavior shifts.
  • The Sr. Specialist will work most closely with the Continuous Improvement Specialist and Continuous Improvement Champion in the location to deliver the productivity improvement.
  • This position requires extensive travel.

 

Experience for Sr. Specialist:
  • Minimum five years business experience.
  • Minimum two years in operations or logistics.
  • Proven track record of change and innovation in current role.
  • Proven track record of supporting the success of team leadership
Education for Sr. Specialist:
  • Bachelors Degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience for Specialist:
  • Minimum three years business experience.

  • Proven track record of supporting the success of team leadership
Education for Specialist:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, advanced degree a plus.
  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
