Summary:
Reviews and edits finished intelligence analysis reports to ensure technical and grammatical accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
1. Use digitalized production processes to ensure all finished analysis reports are published in accordance with (IAW) intelligence community and INTELLINK standards.
2. Review finished analysis products to identify proper metadata and ensure documents are tagged appropriately IAW INTELLINK standards.
3. Review and evaluate the digital production process for ways to improve the quality of AFOSI products.
4. Publish or make prior coordination for an alternate of the AFOSI Blue Line each working day; edit other finished products from HQ AFOSI and field units in the time allocated for each product.
5. Monitor AFOSI web presence on INTELLINK to ensure professional presentation of information and ease of use by users.
6. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Supervision:
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Applicants must submit a writing sample during the interview process and undergo an editing exercise.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred; however significant experience can be substituted in lieu of this requirement. Preferred subject disciplines include: English, Literature, International Relations/Affairs, National Security Policy, History, Political Science, or Intelligence Studies. Three years of technical writing experience within the Intelligence Community is required; experience obtained from AFOSI or another military agency is preferred.
Computer Skills:
Applicants must have demonstrable proficiency with the use of Microsoft Word, Publisher, Photo Editor and Adobe Professional.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A
Clearance:
Possess a current, TS/SCI. Contractor may be required to undergo independent suitability and counterintelligence polygraph screening by HQ AFOSI.
Travel: Must be willing to attend off site meetings in the DC area when necessary.
