Senior Accountant

An established Government Contractor in Maryland is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their accounting staff. The senior accountant will be responsible for all aspects of the companys operational accounting and they will lead the implantation of Microsoft Dynamics. This position will report directly to the Controller

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports
• Assist in budget preparation and reporting
• Manage Month End closing of the General Ledger
• Fixed Asset reconciliation and tracking
• Prepare engagement reports
• Provide back up support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll
• Create processes and procedures surrounding the position
• Lead the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience
• BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance
• Ability to maintain high quality in a team oriented, rapid paced, time sensitive environment
• Strong problem solving capabilities with the ability to visualize and communicate solutions
• Highly proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Microsoft Dynamics, Solomon orGreat Plains implementation experience is preferred.
• US citizenship is required
