PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Transmission Specialist is responsible for applying available generation, transmission, and bidding information and running power flow models to determine probable locations, durations, and causes of transmission limitations, resulting in transmission congestion. The E4 Transmission Specialist is responsible for owning and executing the congestion management process in one of Exelon's key regions. The transmission specialist works with business experts within Power Team to implement congestion management trading strategies most likely to result in maximum profit potential given Power Team??s portfolio of generation and contractual obligations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Develop strategies that increase corporate margin through optimization of Exelon??s energy portfolio through the congestion management process.
-Evaluates transactional opportunities in accordance with the above
strategies.
-Monitors new marketplace structures and regulations for potential transmission
impacts on transactional opportunities.
-Initiates process improvement recommendations

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
-Undergraduate engineering degree related to power system engineering, business admin or equivalent experience.
-Eight or more years experience in engineering or power transmissions
-Experience using transmission power flow software with emphasis in the Midatlantic, Midwest, or South Region
-Applied statistical knowledge and strong computer skills
-Knowledge of North American regional market infrastructure
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
-Demonstrates the ability to translate complex study results into usable business data
-Self-motivated to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment
-Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
-Ability to multi task

Preferred:
-Graduate level engineering degree, MBA, or advanced degree
-Experience with ISO operations
-NERC Certification
