Spherion in partnership with a Manufacturing Company in East Volusia, FL has an urgent need for a QC Lab Technician for a Special project.                                           

Essential Functions:

• Lab support for compounding, manufacturing, and contract manufactures
• Interacting professionally with other departments
• Work with laboratory instruments such as pH, Viscometer, refract meter, IR, etc.
• Validation studies; wet and instrumental analysis, micro plating and media preparation
• Monitor conductivity of water
• Analysis of raw materials, bulk, packaged samples
• Test samples per approval specifications
• Analysis of samples in a timely manner
• Updating and releasing data into SAP
• Communication with fellow colleagues and Supervisor

Experience/Education required:

• High School or Equivalent
• Must have a Technical degree (Minimum A.S degree or B.S. degree preferred)

Skills and Abilities required:

         Able to use the following tools and equipment; HPLC, GC, ph meter, viscometer, water bath,

propane   burner, sonicator, vortex, UV/VIS, FTIR, incubator, autoclave, X-ray fluorescence, balances, moisture balance, thermometer, computer, refrigerators, pipetters,  syringes, serological pipettes, petri dishes, test tubes, flasks, agar, and others as required. 

         Ability to work unsupervised

         Ability to think under pressure

         Attention to detail

         Ability to read, follow  and understand directions 

Physical Requirements:
