Norwegian Cruise Line, one of the fastest growing cruise lines in the travel industry today, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager, Trade Marketing Programs to join our Miami based team.

BASIC PURPOSE:
This position manages the development of marketing and education programs for Norwegian Cruise Line trade and business-to-business audiences. Collaborates closely with Norwegian Cruise Line's Sales Department in developing top accounts and executes programs as well as assists in the development of positioning and strategy for trade programs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Works with supervisor to define positioning and strategy of programs and communications for travel agents, meeting planners, and other business-to-business audiences. Provides supervisor with input regarding annual marketing plan, annual budget and program development.
  • Works with an agency and Norwegian Cruise Line's internal design services team on creative development, production, planning, placement and evaluation of new product launch materials and messaging for the trade community.
  • Supervises the development, execution and measurement of quarterly sales promotions.
  • Reinforces Norwegian Cruise Line's position as an innovative partner by continually striving to be in the forefront of technological developments that are applicable to Norwegian Cruise Line trade audiences.
  • Supervises the daily responsibilities of the trade marketing team.
  • Meets regularly with marketing management, external business development experts as well as internal departments to cross-platform the development and launch of new trade products and to ensure consistent trade messaging.
  • Analyzes proposals for new innovations, ideas and products; makes recommendations and manages implementation when necessary.
  • Maintains internal communications with key departments to ensure innovative and consistent product development and messaging.
  • Manages and continues to develop sales messaging, online and offline trade tools and weekly communications to travel agents regarding trades to be promoted, along with others as they develop.



REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field of study.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 7 years professional work experience in marketing, in either a corporate and/or agency setting, and at least 4 years demonstrated experience in a supervisory position.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

 

  • Intermediate level working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong written command of the English language to produce and develop strong and effective trade communications and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership, budgeting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Strong command of e-communication technologies and developing online marketing tools.
  • Expert knowledge of advertising and marketing principles as well as design and production.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage change and to thrive in a busy environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Interpersonal skills to work successfully in a team-based environment and cross-departmental role.
  • Ability to be highly detail oriented and organized in order to manage multiple tasks.
