Summary of Role
As Head of Supply Chain Management (Production + Service) you will be responsible for directing and coordinating all logistics and supply chain activities relevant to the nacelle production in Jonesboro, Arkansas, in close cooperation with Procurement to optimum efficiency, safety, compliance and economy of inventory movements and storage to maximize profits and exceed customer expectations. All activities will be coordinated with the Head of Nacelle Production, the Production Process Engineering, other team members as well as the Nordex Groups operations in Rostock, Germany. Furthermore, you will work with suppliers of equipment as well as with vendors and peers within the logistics industry in close cooperation with Procurement. You will also appraise and evaluate transportation vendors while improving and establishing policy, procedures and best practices for moving and managing raw materials, supplies and inventory. Responsibility includes providing expertise, costing, and timelines for various what-if scenarios and bids as requested by the executive management. You will ensure material supply for nacelle assembly, production planning and material disposition, appropriate storage of nacelle components and finished goods, additionally coordinate goods receipt and outgoing goods including quality inspections.

Responsibilities
Conceptual planning of logistics models to determine future requirements as well as the implementation management of logistics concepts
Production Planning, production materials and spare parts disposition
Control of material flows and inventory management in coordination with Procurement (based in Chicago) and Material Management (based in Jonesboro) to ensure material supply for nacelle assembly, appropriate storage of nacelle components, finished goods and spare parts
Conducting inventories and coordinating spare parts/substitute supplies in case of defective components, either in the context of incoming goods inspections or upon demand of the service organization.
Managing all systems that track all in- and outbound shipments including goods receipt and outgoing goods, SAP booking.
Responsibility for successful implementation, operation and training on SAP PP, SD & MM, WM and QM within the Company.
Work with the Companys suppliers in close coordination with Procurement and with logistics vendors and transportation companies to meet short term and long term inventory needs and to optimize the in-bound logistics concept
Take on a senior line management role with responsibility for the organization and operation of all logistics processes and facilities relating to the nacelle production
Effecting ongoing increases in the efficiency of in-bound and internal logistics processes as well as spare parts distribution related logistics processes
Collaborate on cross-functional product and process improvements
Providing to the management team an accurate and complete perpetual inventory reporting
Providing oversight on DOT and safety as well as any reporting requirements to ensure strict compliance with applicable regulations and standards relating to goods receipt and dispatch, safe packing, storage etc.
Manage forklift drivers and training procedures to ensure proper compliance from federal, state, and company rules, regulations and policies.
Education/Qualifications
Four-year degree with concentration in Logistics and/or Engineering degree
Minimum 10 years experience in logistics planning, lean logistics and inventory management (including warehousing and dispatching operations) in large Class A-operations with a high level of success and achievements in a global environment
At least 5 years of reporting experience including P&L responsibility
Successful experience in managing direct reports, cross functional teams, and resources
Analytical mindset and structured approach to work
Excellent SAP R/3 understanding
Team player, ability to work under pressure, ability to work independently and take initiative
Profound knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other relevant standards
Proven dependability, accuracy, and judgment
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Highly motivated and business oriented
Excellent communication skills and pro-active attitude
Proficiency in MS Office including database system functions
Excellent written and spoken English
