HSM is currently in search of a successful "Product Marketing Manager, Global OEM Software". This candidate must have demonstrated achievements in their current and previous roles.
Honeywell Scanning and Mobility delivers reliable, high-performance data collection and wireless communication solutions worldwide, enabling customers to effectively track and manage data and assets. In the role as the Product Marketing Manager, Global OEM Software you will lead OEM Software product marketing efforts for Honeywell's Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) business. He/she will assist the Manager, Global OEM Marketing to manage a portfolio of offerings targeting AIDC OEM customers around the world, with special emphasis on Honeywell's software offerings in this space. He/she will partner with engineering to define, design and deliver innovative products for the AIDC market. He/she will partner with sales to successfully deliver these solutions to our customers. This is a highly visible role, with opportunities for advancement into senior marketing roles. Experience in software product marketing is highly desired.
On a day-to-day basis, you will be tasked with the following:
- Understanding the global AIDC OEM markets - players, trends, technologies, standards, regulations and economics. Developing market segmentation with the objective of targeting each segment based on their unique customer needs.
- Continuously learning and understanding OEM customer segments and dynamics.
- Identifying and quantifying unmet customer needs; creating product specifications based on key customer needs; working with engineering and sales to successfully launch new products into the market on time with maximum impact to Honeywell.
- Gathering market research and conducting analysis of competitors in each segment with respect to corporate strategy, business and channel strategy, new product introductions and technology.
- Collaborating with the Mar Com team to drive market communications activities for the business including promotions, ad placements, trade events/shows, press releases and development of marketing materials such as brochures, datasheets and catalogs.
- Collecting, analyzing and presenting information monthly at business reviews and forecast meetings to help business leaders make informed decisions.
And, assisting with OEM Hardware product management where required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Marketing or Computer Sciences field
- Min. 5 years experience marketing and promoting Software products
- Product Management experience required
- Willingness to travel (25%).
Additional Qualifications
- MBA desired
- Knowledge of the AIDC OEM industry desired.
- Success in managing through influence and persuasion in a highly matrixed structure.
- Ability to think strategically and to scope tasks and set goals
- Ability to work with and provide insight to senior management
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, results-driven organization
- Strong business-to-business analytical, financial, strategic thinking and marketing skills.
- Customer contact experience.
- Proven track record executing marketing projects and programs.
- Green Belt Certification desired.
- Strong written and presentation skills.
