Visit our web site to learn more about us.The individual in this role will work to develop and expand McDonald's use of web and emerging media communications channels across all of McDonald's stakeholder groups; including customers, employees, franchisee's and suppliers. The Program Manager assists cross-functional partners in applying emerging media technologies and tools to their business plans and objectives. The Program Manager is responsible for offering guidance on usage, best practices, rules of engagement, measurement and ROI as appropriate. They help to plan and execute McDonald's digital presence across appropriate engagement platforms including Web 2.0 offerings, social media and collaboration suites, and mobile solutions. The role will bring innovation, creativity and awareness to McDonald's digital media program via relationships with internal company contacts, industry thought leaders and consumers.Employee Responsibilities:In addition to following McDonald's policies and procedures, principle accountabilities include, but are not limited to:Working with the Global Web Communications leadership and through cross-functional teams, the Manager is responsible for driving internal and external web and emerging media programs from the beginning stages through scheduling, development and to final execution and delivery. This role is responsible for managing effective planning with key stakeholders, production & design, and the McDonald's or vendor technical departments.Platforms include but are not limited to:* Employee Portal (AccessMCD)* AboutMcDonalds.com* Mindshare (Internal Social Media Site)* External platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Yammer, etc.Experience:* Minimum five to eight years of interactive web communications experience within a corporate environment, internet professional services firm, PR agency, or advertising/marketing agency.* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Product Management, Marketing or related field* Demonstrated experience with emerging Web 2.0 functionality & great affinity for learning new technologies.* Strong relationship building skills, including negotiation & executive interaction, ability to coach others, lead through influence.* Program/Project management - Specific aspects of this position include project management, creating and maintaining production schedules, meeting deadlines, and managing project budgets.* Ability to develop a business vision for emerging media, including goals & results* Leadership/decision-making: is skilled at articulating to executives and internal teams the importance of emerging media/communications applications. Is able to exercise good judgment with under compressed timeframes.* Flexible communication skills: Strong editorial writer. Is able to present needs and plans and communicate internally, has a distinct, personable voice for external engagement. Can manage negative situations toward positive outcomes.* Public speaking skills: This person will be called upon to present in a variety of internal and external situations.* Experienced manager: is able to manage budget and has lead others in a team environment.* Has foresight and vision: identifies emerging media trends and is able to separate tools from fads.
