They will prepare various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding or other means as necessary. Caulks, putties, cement or plaster holes and cracks. Mixes, matches, and blends various paints, enamels, lacquers stains and special protective coatings to achieve the desired results. Prepares walls and hangs paper or other wall covering material. Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and maintains a sufficient quantity of supplies. Paint interior walls, buildings, structures and floors using a brush, airless sprayer, or other applicator.Knowledge of commercial construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures and equipment. Construct, erect, install and repair structures and fixtures of wood, steel and wallboard. Reads and understands blueprints. Ability to paint/build to stringent specifications. Select and order studs, drywall and other required material.Ability to use and operate hand and power tools as needed in a safe, efficient manner. Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe working environment.Must be able to perform heavy manual labor, including bending, stooping, reaching, carrying and lifting heavy objects weighing up to 70 lbs.Must have the following certificates or the ability to complete, forklift operators certification, scissor lift, lock out tag out, fall arrest, confined space, MSDS, respirator training and ladder safety training.We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
