Description

Join our team of dedicated professionals in support of securing our Nation's cyber security. This position will perform as a Subject Matter Expert and Instructor to develop and deliver customized Digital Forensics training at the DoD Cyber Investigations Training Academy in Linthicum, MD. Some travel required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret or higher clearance.

We are looking forprofessional experience in any of the following areas: Computer Forensics (to include cell phones, GPS receivers, digital cameras, and other handheld storage devices), Computer Incident Response, Cyber Investigations, E-Discovery, and Technical Training. Knowledge of Guidance Software's EnCase, Access Data's Forensic Tool Kit, Helix, Linux, and possession of a CTT+ Certification a plus!. Counterintelligence and/or federal law enforcement a plus also.

Essential Job Functions

Applies more complex computer investigation and analysis techniques in the interests of determining potential security problems and to provide instruction on data recovery tools and methods for the customer base.
Researches best practices and makes recommendations for new or updated courseware, based on new tools and procedures as appropriate.
Uses skills and experience to develop realistic training scenarios to discover files on target systems including existing normal files, deleted files, hidden files, password-protected files, and encrypted files, and recover discovered and deleted files to support investigations or intelligence operations.
Uses skills and experience to develop realistic training scenarios to documents overall analysis of the target computer system, as well as a listing of possibly relevant files and discovered file data. Determines best practice approaches for analysis in order to ensure integrity and protection of the system. Develops new processes and procedures for computer investigation.
Trains customer base to identify evidence when computers systems and networks are used in the commission of crimes or in the abuse of company policies.
Creates custom instruction for creating investigative reports and presentations for courtroom use to provide a clear synopsis of analysis results. Instructs customer base in policies and procedures for the use of and creation of reports and presentations.
May provide expert consultation and/or testimony to provide expertise in support of litigation.
May provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Seven or more years of investigations and/or computer forensic analysisexperience
Experience working with a wide range of computer hardware and software
Experience working with computer forensics software and hardware
Experience working with systems infrastructure including hardware configuration, operating system, and networks
Experience working with legal policies and procedures
Able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET clearance
