ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN - STEWART SIGNS -SARASOTA FL - EBSCO Industries (Sarasota/Bradenton, Florida)

Basic Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equiv. and 5 years of field experience with electronics troubleshooting required; 2 year degree in electronics preferred
• 1+ year experience responding to 115/230 A/C & D/C power and data connectivity questions to include RS232, RS485, USB and TCP/IP communication devices both wired and wireless
• Computer proficiency to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, XP, and Vista 
• Ability to type 40wpm
• Must be willing to travel 30% - 50% of the time
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds without assistance 

Office Responsibilities

• Receive calls or emails for LED sign troubleshooting; analyze and determine if user error, malfunctioning or broken parts, normal wear & tear, electrical surge or vandalized LED signs; determine if parts are needed; ship parts to customer; initiate paper work, issue RMA numbers and assist in collection of payments.
• Conduct software phone training
• Order, sell and maintain inventory parts for LED signs  

Field service requirements

• Conduct on-site training, repair, quality check on electronic signs at customer location anywhere in the United States
• Order, sell and maintain inventory for LED parts
• Responsible for all company owned equipment including, but not limited to laptop, cell phone, and other tools/equipment
• Schedule and keep track of flights, car rentals, and hotel accommodations

• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Overtime when necessary is required to maintain our high level of service to our customers

Candidates must live within 20 miles of Sarasota, FL., pass a background check and have a good driving record.  Position can have long hours and early mornings. Overtime is required when needed.
