Position Description:

SUMMARYWe are looking for an experienced sales leader to help us grow one of the most important segments of our business. Genworth is seeking the right person to head our Brokerage General Agent channel across all three of our product lines: Life, Long Term Care and Annuities. This position, reporting to the President of Retirement and Protection Insurance Distribution and Marketing organization, will have responsibility for the following:RESPONSIBILITIES Direct and lead a sales team of three Sales Leaders and 30 sales associates. Create, implement and measure the progress against Sales multi-year plans, and lead other strategic sales and marketing planning initiatives. Assess the competitive and market landscape to identify possible product/distribution gaps and emerging market opportunities. Partner with our Product Development team to design and develop innovative cross-Genworth approaches to address these identified gaps. Work closely with Product and Service organizations to create a great market experience Work across product lines to implement the One Genworth Strategy Continue to grow GNW's leadership position in Life and Long Term CareBASIC QUALIFICATIONS College degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent experience 10-15 years sales experience in the insurance or similar industry Minimum of 5 years in key leadership role(s) Willing to work from our Richmond home office locationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS National Sales Manager experience Experience in Life Insurance, Long Term Care and Fixed Annuities Home Office experience Developed positive relationships within the BGA marketplace Excellent presentation skills Strong Work Ethic Energetic and ability to think in and outside the box Goal oriented - winning attitude - track record of sustained sales success Collaborative Ability to travel nationally up to 50%
