Utility Representative - Alsco Inc. (Milwaukee, Wisconsin)

Description:  Responsible to the Service Manager for performing the duties of the Allied Representative and/or a Route Sales Representative in the absence of someone in either position.  The position is responsible for delivering various "All Fresh" products to customers,; filling All Fresh products for RSR deliveries; installing cabinets, lockers and various All Fresh dispensers; and driving the All Fresh step van.  The position is also responsible for delivering rental uniforms, mats, All Fresh Products, etc. in the absence of a Route Driver.  Must be able to drive a delivery truck.  The position involves maintaining records and collecting funds owed the company, and returning soiled rental products to the plant for reprocessing.  The Utility Representative is also expected to market new rental ore direct sale items to new and existing customers.   The Utility Representative represents the company to its customers, and must present a positive, businesslike personal appearance and attitude.  The position may be assigned other duties as needed.

Education:  A high school diploma is required.  The successful candiate must be able to count, add and subtract accurately, recognize colors and sizes, comprehend English, read English and write in English legible.  The successful candidate must be mechanically inclined and be able to operate a drill and a hand operated fork lift.  The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license with a driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or safety violations.  Previous sales experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:  This position requires driving both a step van and a delivery truck.  The Utility Representative must be able to load and unload the textile items on the truck.  These tasks will require stooping, pulling, pushing, lifting, moving loaded carts and reaching overhead.  The candidate must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
