Brand Management & Communications Internship Opportunity

Internship overview:

Siemens Healthcare Brand Management is dedicated to creating brand differentiation and preference for Siemens Healthcare in the marketplace. The team interfaces directly with marketing teams at Siemens AG in Munich, Germany and Siemens Corporate in New York to ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to the execution of the overall Siemens Brand Strategy and advertising. The primary focus of Brand Management is driving brand strategy and messaging through program development, media strategy and implementation, and maintaining corporate brand standards. This is a great opportunity to gain brand marketing experience from a large, global company.

Internship requirements:

The skills required for this internship are those of an independent, self-directed individual who embraces knowledge in both healthcare and brand development and are able to transform this knowledge into solid deliverables and achievements. Desired skill set includes:

- BA/BS or MBA in Marketing, Communications or a general business major
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent strategic and creative skills
- Ability to project manage multiple tasks and adapt to new situations
- Independent worker with entrepreneurial spirit
- Prior experience in an office setting via an internship or international studies are a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel and Powerpoint)

The ideal candidate would be a recent graduate or current student available to work full-time (40 hours/week) for up to one year starting December 2009 or January 2010.

Internship responsibilities:

Siemens Healthcare Brand Management department is looking for a motivated, well-rounded intern to provide strategic and tactical marketing support for brand communication initiatives in the following areas:

- Development, management and maintenance of corporate messaging for advertising , internet, intranet, collateral and presentations and more
- Project manage print and online media activities , which include third party media placements and Siemens monthly newsletters
- Help enforce corporate guidelines as they relate to all print and online efforts across Siemens Healthcare
- Support the fulfillment of advertising requests via the Sales Force
- Maintain and update the Branding section of the Siemens intranet
- Ambassador for the Siemens Healthcare brand
- Tactical support for employee targeted brand campaigns

This position is paid and offers a competitive hourly wage.
