We are currently looking for a Manager- Field Management Finance - Management Reporting & Strategic Planning.  Please read on for more details regarding this position.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

SUMMARY:

Enterprise Management Reporting, Planning & Analysis role supporting the Field Management Team, including Field Mgmt Home Office, Regional Presidents, Regional Directors and Marketing Specialists. This role is responsible for the accurate reporting and analysis of Enterprise Management Information results at various levels including Region, Profit Center, Broker, Agency, Business Unit. Serves as team lead for the ERA project.  Manages or participates in the most complex projects.  Provides advice and direction to less experienced staff. Opportunity for staff development.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Job Components (may include but are not limited to):

Participate in the monthly production cycle and the preparation of required reports and analytics. 

Understand interaction of multiple data sources as reports and data may come from a variety of sources including EMI from CL Portal or Teradata, SCORE Flow, APACT, etc. 

Develop actionable exhibits to facilitate monthly analyses of financial data for the Field Management team (e.g. written and earned premiums, production statistics, controllable income, etc.).

Directs the development of ad hoc financial/expense reports and analyses to meet senior management's  information needs

Direct day to day work of staff

Partner with IT to deliver on report enhancements, new reports, delivery strategy and ERA project

Serve as Field Management lead for ERA project ensure successful delivery and rollout of the new tool to business users.

Ensure accurate data is presented and financial controls are met.

Recommend improvements to efficiencies and competitiveness.

Participate in data quality initiatives.

Partner with Field Management team to coordinate successful planning process

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Experience in insurance Financial Management or accounting.

Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, accounting and financial reporting.

Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.

Understanding of GAAP and statutory accounting

Supervisory experience. 

 

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Clear, logical, and effective verbal/written communication skills.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Strong PC skills, including COGNOS, Access & EXCEL

 

OTHER:

Relationship Building

Ability to present to Senior Management.

Clearly demonstrated sense of urgency and bias for action

Ability to work well under pressure and independently

Ability to forge strong working relationships at senior levels
