About the Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced Calibration Technician in Melbourne, Florida. In this position you will be a part of a team representing Sypris Test & Measurement, Inc. by providing customer service and technical expertise to meet our customer's requirements. Sypris Test and Measurement invests in your personal and professional growth by providing you with education and training opportunities to keep current in your field. The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy.

 

Position Summary:

Performs routine and complex work related to the repair and calibration of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical test and measurement equipment. Provides field maintenance on equipment when required. Uses calibration procedures and measurement systems for use on customer equipment in compliance with requirements. Assures compliance to Quality System. 



Job Requirements:

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements: 

  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Status required.
  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the repair and calibration of electronic/electro-mechanical, process control equipment and mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in Physical Dimensional required.
  • Optical Measurement experience preferred.
  • RF Microwave Experience a plus.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and industry specific software.
  • Capable of heavy lifting (50 to 80 pounds).
