Job Description

Job Function
The Platform Server MTMS teams needs an experienced software developer with exceptional C/C++ programming experience and infrastructure experience as well as Java and Network Management experience.

Skills/Experience
Transcoding with MPEG2, H.264 and other skills e.g. C++.

Network Management and Java skills.

C++ skills required with domain knowledge in Wireless/Telecomm Business Application interfaces (e.g. Billing, SMS, Authentication and Authorization).

Extensive experience programming in C/C++ (minimum of 5 - 7 years), strong/current knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and solid experience in code optimization and high performance computing is required.

Minimum of 5 years of large systems software design and development experience is required.

A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design is required.

A strong understanding of networking systems including TCP/IP and Ethernet is required.

Strong analytical and debugging skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills are required.

Strong problem solving skills are required.

Adaptability, proactiveness and a willingness to take ownership are strongly preferred.

Team player who can function well with minimal supervision is strongly desired.

Strict attention to detail and prompt follow-through on specific tasks and/or assignments are also strongly desired.

Responsibilities
Ability to interact and productize new technology enhancements working with the Systems Engineering team members in the codec team and Systems Physical Layer Team.

Experience with ASI, SDI, and understanding of NTSC, PAL, SCTE 35 and related standards.

Experience in troubleshooting issues in the test and deployment environment working with the test and deployment teams.


Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Digital Media required.

Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Digital Media preferred.
