Mr. Anthony (Tony) Jimenez is the award-winning President, CEO, and founder of MicroTech, an 8(a) certified and verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) focused on Information Technology Support and Services, Management Services and Systems, Audio-Visual Telecommunications Design and Installation, Product Solutions and Consulting Services and Solutions. Since founding MicroTech in 2004, Tony has grown the business into a profitable multi-million dollar company with over 350 highly skilled professionals supporting over 60 prime contracts with civilian and defense agencies of the Federal government and providing IT and network support to numerous Fortune 500 companies.
The Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA) has elected Anthony (Tony) Jimenez as its new Chair of the National Board of Directors. As the highest volunteer position in the organization, Mr. Jimenez was selected because of his long-standing commitment to our community, as well as his ability to provide leadership, vision and support to the communities� preeminent organization dedicated solely to the advancement of Latino technology professionals and the empowerment of the Latino community by the use of technology. Mr. Jimenez�s installation was made official on December 8, 2009 at the LISTA National Technology Achievers Awards Gala, where the torch was passed from Jose Luis Rodriguez, LISTA�s Past Chair in New York City. The event, which is held annually, brings together corporations, partners and industry professionals to recognize Latino technology excellence in corporate America.
As a former Federal government executive with more than 25 years experience in Information Technology, Strategic Planning, Enterprise Transformation, and Acquisition Management, Tony guided DoD�s efforts to solve complex and critical platform transformation challenges facing government organizations. He has an extensive background in Project Management, Acquisition Management, large-scale IT Systems Implementation, IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Business Reengineering, and Systems Integration. Tony is a highly decorated veteran, has an MA in Computers and Information Systems from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, an MS in Acquisition Management from Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne, FL, and a BS in Business Management from St. Mary�s University in San Antonio, Texas. He is also a recent graduate of the Executive Education Training course at Dartmouth�s Tuck School of Business.
Tony is a certified Program Manager, Chief Information Officer, and IT professional and has served as a Government Contracting Officer where he held numerous unlimited contracting warrants for the Federal Government. Since the company�s inception in 2004, MicroTech�s suite of services and solutions have ensured that clients in Government, Education, and the Technology industry accomplish their mission while simultaneously maximizing their return on investment (ROI) and lowering their total cost of ownership (TCO).
As a result, customers continuously realize the business advantage of utilizing MicroTech and its numerous cutting edge solutions and processes. Tony is an active member of the Technology industry and an advocate for the Veteran, Hispanic, and Small Business communities. Tony is a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, and the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). He serves on the boards of the American Red Cross of the National Capital Area, United States - Mexico Chamber of Commerce, and the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Tony is an active member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Military Officers Association of America, and Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association (LISTA).
