Social Media Specialist
Job Description:Under direction of the Director of Marketing Communications in the Marketing Department at TCS Education System, the Social Media Specialist will have accountability for ensuring active and engaged communities across social media platforms for our community of colleges and universities. They will contribute to content calendars, write and manage day-to-day publishing, assist with the planning and deployment of large-scale social media campaigns, engage with college liaisons to ensure consistent and timely content is being developed, monitor online conversations and build engagement through direct interactions online for the needs of brand advocacy, thought leadership, and admissions objectives. This position will work closely with Marketing leadership at TCS Education System, and liaisons at each affiliate campus.The ideal candidate will be a confident collaborator who won't hesitate to jump in and work alongside team members on projects and tasks of all levels. They will be competent and driven, adept at decision-making and problem-solving, and will have a positive attitude. They will possess initiative and good judgment and will be conscientious and trustworthy. A passion for education is a must.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESManage and grow brand presence, thought leadership, and engagement rates for our community of colleges and universities through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and other strategically relevant online properties such as Yelp.Draft social media posts, blogs, news items, and other communications materials for a variety of channels and multiple brands.Responsible for coordinating with campus liaisons to develop social media content, strategy, and community engagement.Responsible for growing followership and engagement rates on social media platforms.Analyze and co-report on campaign statistics, including growth, engagements, click-throughs, conversions, etc.Assist in producing content to promote institution publications and select academic programs.Assist in reviewing user-generated comments and posts online in a quick and timely manner and when appropriate respond to comments, or escalate to leadership in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user's experience.Stay abreast of key issues facing the TCS Ed System community and the higher education industry, and curate thought leadership content from across the internet.Other duties as assigned by manager.Travel possible, up to 15 percent.EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor's degree or higher in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field, or the equivalent in work experience.A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a PR, communications, or social media role preferred.Proven communication skills, and abilities in news writing and blogging.Demonstrated experience in engaging and activating community groups.A thorough understanding of popular social networks ( ie. design, functionality, content strategies, etc).Proficient with content management programs, along with media and social engagement analysis tools, such as Hootsuite and WordPress.Experience in locating and engaging advocates within the community to foster dialogue.Design experience using the Adobe Suite, as well as photography, a plus. Job Description:The primary responsibilities of the Senior Director of Enrollment Services include working with department leadership of Admissions, Student Services and Academics to implement best practice strategies that support Admissions and Retention performance. The Senior Director will collaborate with leadership across the system to develop and implement training strategies appropriate to each functional area to support increased performance in the areas of student recruitment, student advising, and retention. The Senior Director of Enrollment Services will also provide training and on-boarding of admissions and student services staff across the System.Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Partnering with institutions' Admissions and Student Services departments to effectively manage key aspects of the enrollment funnel, including recruitment, student advising and retention.Building relationships to ensure close communication with College Leadership regarding recruitment and retention goals and strategies necessary toward continual achievement.Assisting Leadership in developing yearly enrollment and retention plans.Engage in analytical, empirical, data-driven approaches to problem solving and decision-making and facilitate a culture of evidence in deploying admissions and student success and retention strategiesProvide cross-functional training, ongoing professional development and coaching of admissions and student services staff working with students throughout the student lifecycle.Have a strong understanding of the entire student lifecycle, including admissions, retention and student success and be able to identify areas of opportunity for training.Overseeing and facilitating knowledge sharing to foster a cohesive recruitment and retention environment, being mindful of regulatory and other constraints.Tracking/reporting performance of admissions and student service staff while evaluating engagement and measuring effectiveness of training delivered.
