1st Shift
Field Service Technician
Indianapolis, IN
This position is a full time, direct hire role with a growing company.
Basic responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, service, repair, and install door, dock equipment, and truck restraint systems.
- Perform all assigned planned maintenance on door and dock equipment.
- Perform skilled fabrication and welding tasks onsite to support customer installation and service and needs.
- Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, property damage and loss of materials and equipment
- Follow established work instructions and work orders.
- Process paperwork in a timely fashion.
- Assure quality of work by careful attention to detail and performing in-process quality checks
- Maintain service truck to be clean and organized.
- Maintain and manage inventory levels of material and equipment on service truck.
- Ensure tools, equipment are secured at all times.
- Maintain and manage inventory levels of product and equipment on your service vehicle.
- Be flexible with work schedule to ensure customer commitments are met and exceed customer expectations for service and responsiveness
- Performs other duties as assigned by Service Manager
Demonstrated work experience includes:
- Welding experience
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Good written and verbal skills
- Excellent customer care skills
Other expectations include:
- Maintain an excellent attendance record, reporting to work consistently on-time and adheres to attendance policies
- Display a work ethic which contributes to effective and efficient operations
- Works effectively and cooperatively with others by sharing ideas in a constructive, positive manner; listening to and objectively considering other ideas; address problems and issues to find mutually acceptable and practical solutions to provide a quality product and meet customer delivery requirements
- Exhibit professional appearance and conduct while providing excellent customer service
- Projects a positive and professional image when interacting and communicating with customers.
- Must present an attitude that is respectful and professional at all times with co-workers and management
- Ability to successfully pass a background check
- Possess a current active and valid Indiana drivers license
