Land Value Specialist
Please Note: This position is located at Georgia Power Company’s corporate office in Atlanta, Georgia at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd & is subject to the company’s hybrid work policy, which is currently four (4) days per week. (Mon. thru Thur.)
Some overnight travel (up to 25%) is required with this position.

Job Summary:
- The primary responsibilities of the Land Value Specialist are (i) to research and evaluate real estate transactions to prepare data books of recent sales to establish land costs, (ii) review appraisals submitted by property owners for discrepancies (iii) assist legal with pre-trial preparation of appraiser hired by Georgia Power Company to testify to value.
Education Requirements:
A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree is required.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Active Georgia Certified General Appraisal License
- Valid Georgia’s driver’s license
Experience Requirements:
- 3-5 years relevant experience in the Real Estate Industry

Major Job Responsibilities:
- Research recent Real Estate transactions and prepare a sales data book
- Review appraisals and sales information provided by property owners during negotiations
- Advise GPC General Counsel organization during pre-trial preparations and condemnation hearings
- Assist the Land Acquisition Coordinators when calculating the value of property rights being acquired

This position has been identified as a role that will require the use of a Georgia Power fleet vehicle. The following will be required if you are selected for this position:
- Must have at least one year of verifiable driving experience (Must hold a valid driver’s license for the class vehicle to be operated. Driving permits are not typically considered a valid driver’s license).
- Must have no revocation of driving privileges within the 36 months prior to application, no convictions of major traffic violations (DUI, hit and run, reckless driving, etc.) within the 12 months prior to application, or any pending charges for a major traffic violation at the time of application.
