Full Job Description

Become part of Barclays Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) team as our Program Administrator, where your experience in financial services and capital project execution will be key to delivering one of the most multifaceted programs in our global portfolio—the transformation of our US headquarters at 745 7th Avenue in New York City. This high-impact undertaking encompasses roughly 1 million RSF across trading floors, office spaces, lobby areas, amenity zones, and core infrastructure—all being repositioned and renovated in carefully phased stages while the building remains fully operational. Your background in design, construction, and navigating multi-faceted stakeholder environments within financial institutions will support the program’s success across its full lifecycle—from programming and schematic design through construction documentation, procurement, phased occupancy, and final close-out over a span of approximately 5½ years.


To be successful as a Program Administration VP, you should have:

  • Design and Construction experience

  • Interior office design experience

  • Understanding of construction and infrastructure

  • Scheduling and project delivery experience

  • Vendor management experience

  • Financial Services experience is required

Other highly valued skills include:

  • Auto Cad

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with scheduling tools (Primavara, MS Project Scheduler, Smart sheets)

This role is based in New York, NY.


Minimum Salary: $140,000.00
Maximum Salary: $200,000.00

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

Purpose of the role

To manage and develop capital project proposals and operations aligned to the needs of the bank.

Accountabilities

  • Management, development and execution of building, real estate and physical asset security projects and proposals, including workspace, engineering, and facility upgrades.
  • Management of planning, design, procurement, resourcing, reporting and construction processes to ensure deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Identification of potential risks and issues associated to capital projects and development of risk management strategies to mitigate them by monitoring risk exposure and taking corrective action.
  • Management of project budget for real estate and physical security projects by tracking expenses, forecasting costs and identifying cost saving opportunities.
  • Management of stakeholder relations including project sponsors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and the facilities management team to align capital project operations with the bank's objectives.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve the delivery processes for capital projects and implement best practices to enhance project performance.
  • Execution of capital projects that meet agreed quality standards, and are compliant with relevant laws, regulation, and policies.
