Part Time - 12 Hour Night ShiftSpecialty Post Surgical - As a nurse, you can never expect any day to be the same on this unit. We care for a wide variety of surgical patients (ortho, neurosurgery, bariatric, plastics, and colorectal, surgical oncology). We are a fast-paced environment that allows nurses to gain experience with prioritization, critical thinking, other skills not learned in nursing school, and training to become an ICU RN. Typically, patients stay for 2-4 days. It is a 32-bed unit, all private rooms. There are many opportunities for leadership training (charge nurse) and participation on unit-based committees.

- A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
- BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
- Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
- 1 year of experience (preferred - we do welcome New Grads!)
