Job Description
The Senior Complex Product Manager will lead the development and continued growth of the alternative Investment business lines by working across the organization and with third-party sponsors to provide high-quality product support to Ameriprise advisors, sales teams, and clients. This position will make recommendations and implement plans to improve advisor education, product awareness, sales, marketing, training, service, processes, policies, and procedures.Key Responsibilities
Represent and promote alternative investments as a product advocate and business owner, including deep collaboration with third party partner firms to help WMS achieve its sales goals.
Provide ongoing relationship management for third party alternative investment product sponsors; ensure Ameriprise delivers value to third party partner firms.
Design, develop, and manage product sales strategies, educational, and marketing initiatives; drive third party firm engagement and involvement with cross organizational marketing efforts.
Effectively leverage business intelligence in creating and executing creative sales and marketing campaigns, both internally and in partnership with third party product sponsors.
Oversee development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance of product training, including advisor-facing content as well as internal Ameriprise sales team materials.
Responsible for oversight of product on-boarding, driving awareness of alternative investments, and providing advisor support.
Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert for alternative investments.
Actively engage with other groups throughout the organization including Marketing, Sales, GCO, Compliance, Service Delivery, and Clearing to ensure that all aspects of product requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
7+ years financial services experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Active Series 7 or ability to obtain within 120 days
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of field advisor experience or comparable sales and marketing experience preferred
MBA, CMA or CAIA
Experience working effectively within and across a large broker dealer's business units
Possess a strong knowledge of the alternative investment industry and product characteristics
Demonstrated experience with leading field implementation initiatives
Experience working successfully within a strategic sales environment influencing advisor and field leader behavior; strong communication, coaching, training and general presentation skills; self-driven and self-accountable
Outstanding relationship management, negotiation, and collaborating/influencing skills in dealing with all levels through various communication channels

In-Office Collaboration

Our employees work in the office at least four (4) days per week, with flexibility to work from home one (1) day per week. Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $107,000 - $147,100 / year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
