About the Role
The Post-Trade Technologies team plays a critical role at in providing the technology platform and support for the firm’s global Trade Coordination and Trade Operations teams to process trade confirmations and settlements with our brokers and custodians. We are currently seeking a strong Senior Systems Analyst to play a key role in delivering solutions to our business partners, solve complex problems, and strive to advance and sustain a world-class platform. Since the role requires frequent interaction with both business users and IT stakeholders across multiple teams - excellent communication, collaboration and delivery skills are essential. You will work with, and learn from exceptional investment, trading and operations professionals through cross-platform, data driven projects and assignments. You should be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively under pressure and balance multiple priorities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to join a strong, collaborative team in a senior level role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Interact directly with business partners at all levels of the organization to define, analyze, and document requirements, as well as set priorities
Act as a champion and trusted advisor for the needs of our business partners
Develop deep knowledge and expertise in Wellington specific workflows
Author functional, design and support documentations
Collaborate with software developers, database architects, vendors and other IT and business teams to analyze and determine functional specifications and UI design for new applications and enhancements to existing applications
Develop a strong partnership with the delivery team to ensure on-time, scalable, and high-quality business solutions
Provide regular status reporting and issue tracking on projects
Provide input into system design to help the development team define effort and implementation schedules
Provide oversight for the various phases of testing and user acceptance
On a rotational basis, provide production support to our business users and act as an escalation point person for support issues that require detailed analysis and management
Manage production incidents, determining root cause, appropriate corrective actions and follow-up
Engage in Vendor/Broker management tasks and work with our business team to execute project work, enhancements and raise defects on vendor platforms
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance or related subject
5+ years BA or system analysis experience
Understanding of financial instruments such as equities, bonds, swaps, options, futures, forwards and FX
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail
Strong client relationship skills and proven ability to build consensus
Candidates must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and an ability to work with various internal teams to execute on that vision
Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs
Experience writing requirements, functional specifications, use cases, and test plans
Experience in IT change, incident and problem management and SDLC
Change agent, creative, innovative and focused on continuous improvement
Hands-on knowledge of SQL, or another relational database technology
Experience using project tracking tools, such as Jira or Service Now
Experience supporting critical production applications
High degree of enthusiasm to work independently in an energetic, fast-paced, business-critical and team oriented-environment
Intellectual curiosity and interest to learn independently and from peers

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:
USD 80,000 - 180,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
