SOFTWARE ENGINEERS, SENIOR (Multiple Openings) –UPMC Presbyterian Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA seeks multiple Software Engineers – Senior to serve as part of UPMC Enterprises to support the development and overall maintenance of UPMC’s Core Transactional/Payor System. Define/lead development of new software and contribute to the overall SDLC for various applications/projects, including UPMC’s Health Plan application. Master’s degree, or equiv., in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or rel. field plus 2 years of Software Engineering, Application Development, or related experience: building new and maintaining existing web application features; developing enhancements to existing software from requirements; validating and scoping data models in the database; performing regression testing, user acceptance testing, and functional testing; using synchronization techniques to perform multithreaded programming; completing database migrations; performing production implementation validation; creating and modifying database migrations; working in all phases of SDLC from requirement analysis to debugging production issues; and utilizing Angular 9, CSS3, HTML5/ARIA, HTTP/S, Git, and JavaScript. In lieu of Master’s degree plus 2 years experience, will accept Bachelor’s degree, or equiv., in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or rel. field plus 5 years of progressive Software Engineering, Application Development, or related experience in the specific experience as specified above.  Telecommuting permissible.
