JOB TITLE: Sr. Network Engineer/Architect

LOCATION: Irving, TX, and hybrid role, may work from home

DUTIES: Design, analyze, diagnose, and resolve issues within the company network, and manage enterprise networks. Provide Tier 3 technical support for network infrastructure. Resolve incidents directly with end users and record detailed actions in ticketing tool. Collaborate with 3rd party vendors to ensure the network stays operational. Ensure all aspects of the entire enterprise cloud networks are architecturally sound and highly available. Research existing and emerging technologies that align with business requirements and provide effective solutions using industry best practices and knowledge of industry technologies. Install and implement network hardware components and cables in data centers and corporate offices. Perform approved network changes according to procedures with minimal business disruption. Understand and perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs and patches. Develop and maintain accurate network support documentation in a knowledge repository. Perform network performance monitoring, trending and capacity planning for the LAN, WLAN, MAN and WAN. Work with IP Routing Protocols including BGP, OSPF, and ISIS; Layer 3 Protocols including ARP, IPV4, IPV6, Neighbor Discovery, SNMP, and IPSec; Layer 4 Protocols including TCP/IP and UDP; and Layer 7 Protocols including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMTP. Work with AWS Services including VPC, VPN, ELB, and EC2, and Networking tools including Wireshark, Iperf, and Visio.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, Senior Network Engineer, Network Architect, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years of experience managing enterprise networks. 5 years of experience working with IP Routing Protocols including BGP, OSPF, and ISIS. 5 years of experience working with Layer 3 Protocols including ARP, IPV4, IPV6, Neighbor Discovery, SNMP, and IPSec. 5 years of experience working with Layer 4 Protocols including TCP/IP and UDP. 5 years of experience working with Layer 7 Protocols including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and SMTP. 5 years of experience working with AWS Services including VPC, VPN, ELB, and EC2. 5 years of experience working with Networking tools including Wireshark, Iperf, and Visio. 40% domestic travel required to datacenters across multiple locations to manage/maintain network devices. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
