Join Barclays as a Business Operations Senior Analyst, where you'll be part of the Vendor & Fulfillment Operations team—a high-performing unit within the US Consumer Bank that manages daily operations, particularly those involving third-party vendors. As a Business Operations Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for service-level & volume reconciliation as well as exception handling for multiple processes. Processes are assigned as per need but may include mail room activity oversight, paper application processing, statement, letter & plastic fulfilment and payment network interchange, among others. This role includes interaction with Contact Center, Front Office and Technology as well as direct engagement with third-party Vendors.

To be successful as a Business Operations Senior Analyst, you should have experience with:

  • Working within the financial services industry

  • Developing and maintaining procedural documentation, as well as executing operational processes

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications with a familiarity in Excel capabilities

  • Ability to analyze trends to self-identify potential and/or emerging issues

  • Experience in third-party vendor relationships

You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.

This role is located in Wilmington, DE.

Purpose of the role

To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support various business areas with day-to-day initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identification of areas for improvement and providing recommendations in operational processes.
  • Development and implementation of operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Development of reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identification of industry trends and developments to implement best practice in banking operations.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
