This position will be located in EAFB, CA.
The selected candidate will be assigned as a flight test technician which is a 100% on-site role at Edwards AFB, CA.
Primary job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Testing, troubleshooting, removal, installation, modification, and maintenance of aerospace systems including, but not limited to fuel, hydraulics, Environmental Control System (ECS), flight controls, propulsion, landing gear, Communications, Navigation and Identification (CNI), and ground support equipment
• Operation of ground equipment, aerospace systems checkout, performance of pre and post-use inspections, service fuel, lubrication, cooling, and other requirements as necessary
• Reading and interpreting schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions to fabricate and assemble necessary fixtures and/or component
• Drilling, reaming, fitting, assembly, trimming, riveting, splicing, insulating
• Electrical, mechanical or instrumentation maintenance, repair, and testing
Additional job responsibilities:

• Conducting tests and reporting data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products
• Application of materials, appliqués, coatings, decals, primer, and paint
The standard shift for this position is on the 4/10 schedule.  Shift adjustments may be required with advanced notification.
Basic Qualifications for Flight Test Technician 3:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years industry-related experience
• Must have a minimum of 4 years flight line maintenance experience
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Must have flightline experience
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Familiarity with Maintenance Data Collection systems (MES, FMT, CAMS, etc.)
• Requires ability to work any shift
• Must be willing and able to work 4/10 schedule as primary
• Must have an active DoD Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation)
• Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
Preferred Qualifications for Flight Test Technician 3: 

• Developmental or Operational test experience
• Familiarity with Configuration Management and/or Mission Assurance concepts
• Must be able to lead and train lower-level employees
Salary Range: $64,600.00 - $107,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
