Job Summary
The Associate, Business Risk Management, Cash is responsible for identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating all risks (Cyber, Compliance, Financial Crime, Operational and Conduct) front to back within the Transaction Banking (TB) Cash Business.
The incumbent of the role will execute control tests on processes under the TB Cash Process Universe to ensure the control framework is effective. In addition, manage local KCI (Key Control Indicators) and KRIs (Key Risk Indicators) and support the annual risk control assessment (RCSA) with the local CPO (Country Process Owners) and RO (Risk Owners).
We appreciate self-driven candidates who will be working closely with the wider Cash Operations team, coverage and product partners to develop an understanding of the competitive landscape and identify prospective partners who can address customer needs and accelerate growth. Key Responsibilities
- TB risk governance by coordinating / preparing presentations for local Risk Forums and Committees.
- Providing support during external / internal Audits or quality assurance reviews through coordination and delivery of requests.
- Managing TB's Conduct Agenda.
- Log and manage Risk Issues and Events in M7 (the Bank's global strategic risk platform).
- Assist in developing and updating of procedures, controls and monitoring plans for Operational Risk Management.
- Execute Control Sample tests, Monitoring Key Control Indicators and Key Risk Indicators.
- Assist in coordinating, facilitating and promoting understanding of operational risk and implementation and management of OR within the Unit.
- Coordinate and discuss Residual Risk Assessments with Country Process owners and Risk owners.
- Assist in executing the annual RCSA (Risk Control Self - Assessment) process by facilitating discussions with stakeholders from 1st and 2nd LOD.
- Support coordination of external / internal Audits and internal quality assurance reviews form 2nd LOD including providing and tracking delivery of requested information.
- Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness become apparent and ensure these are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years' experience in Operational Risk / Banking Industry.
- Knowledge of Cash Transaction Processing.
- Previous experience in workflow systems to log and manage risks, run reports.
- Analytical skills Problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as multi-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
- Exemplary integrity, ethics, and resilience.
- Ability to apply experience and judgment to plan and accomplish priorities.

Recruitment Assessments
Expected annual base pay range for the role is 62,640USD to 80,000 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location. At Standard Chartered Bank, Base pay is only part of the total compensation package.
