We are searching for a full time Community Relations Specialist who will be an essential component of UnitedOne's commitment to Financial Well-Being for All. This position maintains responsibility for community outreach, bringing financial education to under-served areas in the communities we serve. Our Community Relations Specialist will also be responsible for leveraging our low-income designation and CDFI status.
Our Community Relations Specialist will foster our "United For You" service promise which requires taking personal responsibility for providing outstanding member service that builds loyalty and supports a service selling environment. Our Community Relations Specialist will also work collaboratively to foster a culture that encourages diversity and independent thinking and a member-centric, digital organization to meet or exceed UnitedOne's mission, strategic objectives, and promote the overall success of the credit union.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience
2-5 years of similar or related experience working in a service position promoting and representing community focused organizations.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A college degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Interpersonal Skills
Must have exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal relationship building skills. Ability to motivate, influence, educate and/or advise others on matters of significance is strongly preferred.
Other Skills
Ability to create power points a plus.

Physical Requirements
Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
