Partner proactively with Relationship Managers, Capital Markets Originators (CMO’s) and Regional Management in Commercial Community Banking (CCB) to meet client and prospect needs and drive revenue by originating, executing and advising on corporate finance activity, with a focus on debt solutions to larger Commercial and Middle Market clients to primarily support acquisition, dividend, recap, buy out and ESOP financings as well as other complex capital solutions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive significant revenue generation/business development to large “up market” Commercial and Middle Market clients and prospects

Champion collaboration and knowledge advancement to CCB bankers with the goal of increasing overall banker knowledge and skillset, provide leadership to the Division around capital structure through active engagement with our relationship managers, deepen our client relationships and better position Truist as a trusted advisor.

Lead deal teams and support CCB bankers in collaborative deal team activities with the goal of pitching, structuring and executing highly profitable transactions that support clients’ growth goals.

Generate actionable ideas and differentiated pitch materials to enhance existing relationships and develop new client relationships. Through these efforts, drive meaningful new business revenue and assist in the cultivation of cross sales opportunities

Work closely with teammates in Sponsor Coverage, Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Investment Banking, M&A, Financial Risk Management and Business Transition Advisory Group/Wealth to drive revenue and advisory opportunities for each partnership and add value to the client relationships.

Proven track record of direct origination and execution, and history of leading the full sales cycle from pitch to close. Demonstrated ability and breadth of experience to drive new revenue opportunities in complex capital structures. Confidence to interact, connect, and win new business with C-Suites, board of directors, business owners and private equity owned companies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Finance or related degree)

15 or more years of demonstrated experience with expert knowledge in complex corporate finance, capital markets, and leveraged lending

10 or more years of direct origination experience in financial services industry

Successful track record of supporting sales organizations, growing a business and delivering sales results

Strong sales acumen, credit expertise and partnering skills

Exposure to business owners and C-Suite executives

Ability to anticipate and adapt quickly to change

Understanding of the financial services industry leveraged finance and lending

Ability to handle multiple deals and generate a high volume of pitch and call activity

The annual base salary for this position is $250,000 - $300,000
