Essential Duties
The Department of Management invites applications for a full-time, temporary 1-year appointment, which may include the areas of Management and Marketing with concentrations in Information Systems Management and Service Operations. Responsibilities of the position include:* Teach upper- and lower-level undergraduate and graduate courses (both online and traditional face-to-face) for our University's diverse student population using a variety of appropriate teaching methods; meet all scheduled classes prepared to instruct; prepare teaching syllabi for courses of study; prepare materials to adequately evaluate student progress; report midterm and final grades when appropriate; maintain accurate and adequate records; establish regular office hours for student consultation.
* Demonstrate sensitivity to, and understanding of, students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities.
* Utilize an equity-minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multimedia, and integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally, relevant, and emotional needs for our students.
* Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning, encouraging student success to all students regardless of race.
* Participate and provide opportunities for all students in community service initiatives or projects that support a diverse and inclusive pedagogy.
* Collaborate with all colleagues to ensure proper alignment of related courses.
* Participate in advising students on academic curricula; serving on faculty committees; participate in faculty meetings; participate in the development of departmental curricula; and adhere to all institutional policies.
* The candidate may also perform other related duties as assigned and/or required.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a related field
- College-level teaching experience
- Related professional work experience.
- Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning and professional development; and provide service to our students, the college, and our community.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning designed to meet our students' educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- A doctoral degree, or one near completion, from a regionally accredited doctoral program in a related field is preferred.

Salary is commensurate with experience in accordance with the Appendix O of the MSCA contract. A reasonable starting salary range to expect for a new full-time, temporary faculty member appointed at the rank of Assistant Professor is $65,000 to $75,000.
