At Lufkin Gears, Baker Hughes team, the Configuration Leader / BOM Negotiator will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sourcing to ensure BOM's (templates and projects) are complete and accurate. They will also manage item master parameters and help define Make-Buy for items.

As a Design Engineer , you will work as part of a team to develop and support products within the Gear Repair group. Work is performed with the oversight of the Repair Engineering Manager within defined parameters; however, the manager will reside at the main plant in Lufkin, Texas.
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Measuring Lufkin-manufactured products as well as other OEM products.
- Engineering new products, drafting production drawings, creating Bill of Materials.
- Modeling in 3D CAD, supporting sales, customers and the local shop as well as troubleshooting any issues as they arise.
- This role will also support the Texas facility on an as needed basis.

To be successful in this role you will require:
- Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Have to be Mechanically Inclined
- Have to have experience working with Micrometers
