About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Futures Electronic Trading Support person (VP level) to join our WATS Futures Support team. This role will primarily cover the Asia shift from the Chicago region. In order to support this market, the primary hours will be 4pm - Midnight (CT), Sunday - Thursday. May be asked to provide coverage for other shifts as needed throughout the team
In this role, you will:
Provide support to our internal and external clients as well as other stakeholders, in all matters related to the electronic trading of Futures and Options on Futures products. This includes administration of the trading platform setups, pre-trade risk limit management, inquiries into order status, coordination of third-party vendors and internal technology teams for additional troubleshooting of issues.
Ensure changes and updates are performed with a strict eye on risk, controls and compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory obligations.
Primarily cover the Asia shift (4pm-Midnight Central Time) but be flexible in providing coverage on other shifts as needed to ensure proper coverage at all times that the markets are open.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Securities Trading experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of global Futures markets and products, viewed as a subject matter expert in this area
2+ years of experience using Trading Technologies execution platform
4+ years of experience with one or more electronic trading platforms for Futures trading (Fidessa, CQG, Tradebook, EMSX, etc.)
Understanding of FIX protocol and how it is used in Futures trading applications for order entry and drop copy
Experience of algorithmic trading in Futures
NFA Series 3 license
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and particularly Excel)
Working knowledge of Python coding to assist in automation of regular tasks
Job Expectations:
PRIMARY POSITION HOURS: 4pm-Midnight Central Time (CT), Sunday - Thursday. May be asked to provide coverage for other shifts as needed throughout the team.
Registration for National Futures Association (NFA) Series 3 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.
This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check. Internal transfers are subject to comply with 17 CFR 240.17f-2 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 and FINRA Bylaws, Article III, Section 3, which states that Associated Persons should not be subject to statutory disqualification. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and are required to report certain incidents.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
