Summary

This position is located at Departmental Offices,Domestic Finance - Office of Financial Research. As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting OFR's implementation of all aspects of Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA).

Duties

As an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:

  • Formulate cybersecurity strategic monitoring for Technology, develop and manage processes used in producing and administering the office's cybersecurity budget, support acquisitions, and develop and lead project management activities used for implementing and monitoring the cybersecurity budget and reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external reporting requirements, briefings, and other forms of communications.
  • Plan for and conducts Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) evaluations, audits, and reviews.
  • Provide technical advice and leadership on cybersecurity aspects of network and systems design to ensure implementation of appropriate security applications and policies, and alignment with OFR's enterprise architecture program.
  • Make decisions and develop recommendations associated with planning, architecting, engineering, building, and supporting IT solutions that influence important Departmental or OFR IT infrastructure management policies and inter-related programs.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the OR-53 (GS-13 equivalent): An applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the OR-52 (GS-12 equivalent) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Successful experience can be gained in the Federal service or its equivalent in state or local government or private sector organizations.

Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Experience designing and implementing comprehensive security and enterprise architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and comply with standard frameworks such as the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEAF), Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), and/or The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF); AND
- Experience developing and maintaining appropriate reporting tools and templates to track security and infrastructure metrics, risks, and providing insights to leadership; AND
- Experience developing and managing cyber budget formulation, investments, and project and portfolio rationalization; AND
- Experience developing, executing, and managing short-term and long-term cybersecurity strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.


The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
below.

Oral Communication: Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
