Job Purpose

The Lead Specialist, IMWM Systems, Reporting & Process Governance provides senior individual contributor leadership for Central Inventory Management systems, reporting, analytics, and process governance across the NE & NY Inventory Management and Warehouse Management (IMWM) organization.

This role is responsible for the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of SAP/HANA, IMWM reporting, KPI performance tracking, and key process controls to ensure material availability, financial accuracy, and operational effectiveness in support of Electric and Gas field operations.

The position serves as a technical and process subject matter expert, partnering across Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement, Finance, and Information Technology to support system enhancements, reporting infrastructure, and process standardization initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance IMWM KPI reporting (e.g., fill rate, stockouts, core material availability, expeditor cadence) to drive performance improvements across NE & NY.
  • Lead SAP/HANA and IMWM reporting development, including recurring reports, ad hoc analysis, automated monitors, and reporting documentation.
  • Support and coordinate system-related initiatives, including enhancements, reporting infrastructure upgrades, data conversion activities, warehouse start-up efforts and software integration with SAP, Warehouse Carousel and Mobile Material Assistant applications.
  • Maintain and improve reporting and system processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across inventory, purchasing, warehouse, and financial datasets.
  • Establish and manage process controls related to Service Company allocations, PAR/Freebin accounting, pre-capital stock valuation, material unit price changes and inter-company stock movement.
  • Develop monitoring tools and reporting controls to proactively identify financial, operational, and data integrity risks.
  • Support operational activities including PO acknowledgement tracking, supplier delivery visibility, and expediting cadence to ensure timely material availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to document, standardize, and improve IMWM processes and reporting practices across regions.
  • Lead or support cross-functional workstreams focused on systems, reporting, and process improvements, ensuring successful implementation and sustainability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to IMWM stakeholders, including Material Planners, Demand Planners, Warehouse teams, and Finance.
  • Support internal and external audits (PSC/FERC) when requested.

Communication & Leadership:

  • Serve as a key liaison between Central Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Procurement, Finance, IT, and Operations to ensure alignment on reporting, systems, and process initiatives.
  • Communicate complex data, reporting insights, and process impacts clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Influence stakeholders through data-driven insights and value-based recommendations to drive process improvements and operational efficiency.
  • Lead workstreams and coordinate subject matter experts across functions to deliver reporting, system, and process initiatives.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and documentation to support team capability development and ensure effective primary/backup coverage.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that supports continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.
  • Document IMWM risks and controls in corporate tracking system.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain, warehouse operations, data analytics, or related field.
  • Strong experience with SAP, HANA, ERP systems, and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Access, Excel, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage complex reporting, data analysis, and system-driven solutions.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including inventory management, procurement, warehouse operations, and supplier performance.
  • Experience with process governance, internal controls, and financial/reporting accuracy in a utility or asset-heavy environment preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with system implementations, data conversion, or ERP transformation (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) is a plus.

Salary

Upstate NY $101,000 - $118,000 a year

New England MA $114,000 - $133,000 a year
