About the Role:
We are seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to join our team at our Broadway location. As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children aged 18 months to 3 years old. You will work closely with our team of teachers to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. Your role will be crucial in fostering a love of learning and preparing our students for their future academic success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- CPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1+ years experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for infants
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for infants
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and needs
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a positive and engaging learning experience for all students
Skills:
As the Lead Toddler Teacher, you will utilize your knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices to create and implement a curriculum that fosters a love of learning in our young students. You will use your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with our team of teachers and communicate regularly with parents. Your ability to work collaboratively with a team will be crucial in maintaining consistency in teaching practices. Additionally, your experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting will allow you to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. Finally, your knowledge of Reggio Emilia or Montessori teaching methods, and bilingualism in English and Spanish, will be beneficial in this role.
Compensation details: 17-18 Hourly Wage
