Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP seeks a Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration Manager to support the firm’s strategic growth through lateral partner hiring. Reporting to the Chief of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration, this role works closely with firm partners and across departments to develop and execute Weil’s lateral recruitment and integration strategy across multiple offices and practice areas.Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Recruiting
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate lateral talent opportunities across practice areas and geographies
- Perform initial analysis on partner candidates to assess strategic fit and client synergies
- Develop candidate briefing materials
- Draft partner communications and other supporting materials
- Liaise with partner candidates, search firms, and internal stakeholders to manage active recruitments
- Stay current on market trends and competitive intelligence
- Maintain pipeline tracking and reporting
- Support special projects related to lateral growth initiatives
- Develop and maintain recruiting-focused collateral in collaboration with the Business Development team
- Onboarding & Integration
- Develop and execute structured integration programs for lateral partner hires in collaboration with partners and relevant firm departments, ensuring alignment with the firm’s strategic priorities and culture
- Contribute to smooth partner onboarding across administrative, operational, and practice-related workstreams
- Provide ongoing support to lateral hires to facilitate relationship-building and long-term success at the firm
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 8+ years of experience in lateral partner recruiting, strategic business development, practice management and/or competitive intelligence, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong understanding of the legal industry, including law firm practice areas and market dynamics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, including firm leadership
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to shifting demands
- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Estimated salary range is $170,000 - $200,000. This position is bonus eligible. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
