Job Description
Our client, a leading apparel eCommerce organization, is seeking a Photo Production Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their Photography Studio. This role is responsible for overseeing product photography workflows, managing product sample movement, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and at the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in eCommerce, apparel, fashion, beauty, retail, or studio production environments and excels at managing high-volume workflows in a fast-paced setting. This individual will serve as a key liaison between Photography, Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, and Production teams to ensure seamless execution from product intake through final image delivery.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily flow of product photography from sample intake through final image delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule and meet business priorities.
- Coordinate and schedule photo shoots in partnership with Creative, Production, and Merchandising teams.
- Manage product sample tracking, organization, and movement throughout the photography process.
- Prioritize photo requests and production schedules based on launch calendars, merchandising priorities, and business needs.
- Monitor studio workflows and proactively identify and resolve roadblocks that could impact timelines.
- Manage reshoots, image correction requests, and quality-related issues, escalating concerns when necessary.
- Maintain and update photography guidelines, shot lists, and production documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Photography, Merchandising, Marketing, Digital, and Post-Production teams.
- Ensure photography assets are delivered accurately, on time, and according to quality standards.
- Communicate project status, timelines, and risks to stakeholders across the organization.
- Coordinate workflows across project management, production tracking, and asset management systems.
- Maintain production reports, trackers, and workflow documentation to provide visibility into project progress.
- Support the publication process for product imagery and ensure assets are ready for eCommerce launch deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to improve studio processes, workflows, and operational efficiencies.
- Support seasonal planning and high-volume production periods to ensure successful execution.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in photo production, project management, studio operations, eCommerce operations, merchandising, or related fields.
- Strong experience managing product samples and production workflows.
- Background in apparel, fashion, beauty, retail, or eCommerce environments strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Airtable.
- Experience using project management, production tracking, or asset management tools.
- Creative Force experience is a strong plus.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively across creative, operational, and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Experience supporting photography studios, eCommerce content production, or product photography workflows is highly preferred.
- Experience managing studio or on-figure photography productions is a plus.
- Photography experience is helpful but not required.
- Merchandise, apparel, beauty, or eCommerce operations experience is highly preferred.
