Job Description:

We are thrilled to announce an opening for a Senior Information Security Analyst at our organization. This role is pivotal in leading our information security efforts, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets. This opportunity will be required to work on a hybrid schedule out of Laurel, MD. Candidates must be willing to be on-site 2-3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily security operations, including monitoring, detection, and response to threats.
Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection).
Analyze security logs and alerts, escalating incidents as necessary.
Oversee vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and incident response.
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security controls.
Investigate security incidents and develop incident response plans.
Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with industry standards (FFIEC, NCUA, GLBA).
Mentor junior security analysts and team members.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information/Cyber Security, Information Systems, or Computer Science (or related field) with several years of relevant experience
Professional certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC) preferred.
Extensive knowledge of security technologies and frameworks (SIEM, IDS/IPS, NIST, PCI DSS).
Experience in credit union or financial services preferred.
Strong understanding of Microsoft systems administration (Active Directory, M365/O365, Azure).

Skills and Abilities:

Proficiency in threat analysis and incident response.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Strong understanding of risk management and regulatory requirements.
Leadership and collaboration skills.
