The Team

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Real Estate Planning to join American Tower’s Property Management team. The team supports strategies, program management, reporting, and financial analyses for the Property Management organization. You will spend most of your time working closely with Program Managers and leaders to develop robust reporting dashboards and financial analyses that help drive maximum value for their respective teams. As Senior Analyst, you will implement reporting and dashboards and own the financial models used within the organization to support decisions and strategies across Property Management.

What You Can Offer Us

• Support the organization with ad hoc analyses, data sourcing, research, and data modeling.    
• Leverage data across multiple systems in tandem with advanced Excel skills, including macros.    
• Identify trends, underlying storylines, and areas of opportunity.    
• Present data to key stakeholders in a digestible format.    
• Partner with the appropriate internal teams to create and manage dashboards, provide reports, and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate the organization’s performance.    
• Perform complex modeling, scenario analyses, and valuations for various opportunities pertaining to land assets and leverage various data sources to drive decisions.    
• Partner with FP&A, the Product & Strategy team, and Program Managers to support financial analyses and strategic decisions across various programs within the organization.    
• Create executive presentation materials to help drive business decisions.    
• Own all models and assumptions used within the organization.    
• Develop a deep understanding of the Company’s business units, markets, and strategic priorities. Develop and maintain partnerships with cross-functional teams to inform analyses.    
• Manage the performance and development of Real Estate Planning Analysts, including the recruiting and onboarding of the role, as necessary. Work to train them, support their growth, and build their ability to manage increasing workloads.    
• Own various Tower Asset Protection Program approval processes to support the execution of complex land transactions.   
• Other duties as assigned.    

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
• A minimum of 3 years of data analysis experience, with the use of Power BI or a similar analysis tool to develop self-service reports and dashboards required.
• Salesforce infrastructure and reporting capabilities experience required.
• Experience developing financial valuation models strongly preferred.
• Ability to visualize and interpret data, including regression modeling, forecasting, and statistical analysis experience.
• Ability to research and find reporting fields in a model when given a user interface data field from an end user.
• Ability to work independently to complete tasks and respond to requests, as well as with others to utilize their resources and knowledge to identify quality solutions.
• Familiarity with common financial concepts, as well as profit and loss statements and their impacts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively influence decision-making.
• Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate a team to achieve results.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to present ideas and information clearly and effectively.
• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to achieve results effectively and professionally.
