Responsibilities
* Perform in-depth industry analysis and research, managing independent research projects as required.
* Perform relative value analysis for a variety of security types.
* Analyze and integrate industry trends into actionable recommendations, gathering relevant data as appropriate.
* Incorporate macroeconomic analysis into research recommendations.
* Perform financial modeling of security, company and industry information and assumptions.
* Interact with management from firms within the sector, attending company meetings and conferences as needed.
* Contribute to team strategy discussions, including daily market meetings.
* Passionate about the investment management industry with a strong work ethic, integrity and dedication to being a part of a successful team.
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years of work experience in high yield research.
* BA/BS degree.
Preferred Qualifications
* 5-10+ years of experience in high yield research for large Institutional Asset Management firm.
* Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) completed or in progress.
* Communication and relationship building skills to appropriately influence and share ideas with Portfolio Managers and Analyst colleagues.
* Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to perform company, industry and economic analysis, including proficiency with software tools such as Excel and database management.
* Relationship skills to work optimally across the Columbia Threadneedle Investments organization and to interact with company management teams, as required.

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role is $200,000 /year. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
