We are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Senior Product Manager to lead our Product-Led Growth (PLG) initiatives for Thryv and Keap. This pivotal role balances high-level PLG strategy with hands-on execution across our core PLG technology stack including Pendo, Customer Journey Orchestration (email/in-app messaging), and A/B testing platforms. You will create the infrastructure, tools, and experiences that enable successful customer lifecycle management and drive sustainable growth.
This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to distill complex, ambiguous problems into clear, actionable strategies. As the PLG subject matter expert across the organization, you will drive influence without direct authority, working across teams to establish PLG best practices, frameworks, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Builds and optimizes the PLG technology stack (including Pendo, Customer Journey Orchestration, and A/B testing) to support comprehensive customer lifecycle management. Partners with the Customer Lifecycle PM to create solutions that enhance post-conversion onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Defines a comprehensive PLG strategy aimed at enabling customer success and lifecycle optimization. Establishes and implements PLG frameworks, processes, and best practices across the organization to ensure consistency and effectiveness in product-led growth efforts.
- Owns the company-wide strategy for in-app A/B testing implementation, including meticulous platform selection, comprehensive evaluation, and recommendation of tools such as Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or similar solutions. Oversees the integration and usage of these platforms to maximize their benefits and ensure uniformity across all functionalities.
- Establishes experimentation frameworks, methodologies, and governance processes across all product teams. Provides thorough guidance and training to product teams on A/B testing execution and optimization, facilitating informed decision-making. Develops best practices, standardized templates, and detailed protocols to ensure consistency in A/B testing and promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven strategy throughout the entire organization.
- Develops a comprehensive strategy for Pendo dashboard implementation across the Thryv 2.0 ecosystem, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Formulates a detailed rollout plan to enable all Product Managers to effectively leverage Pendo for advanced analytics and insightful reporting, thereby enhancing data-driven decision-making processes.
- Establishes and implements robust dashboard standards, templates, and best practices to ensure consistency and uniformity in product insights. Facilitates training and support for Product Managers to utilize these tools optimally, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy in data interpretation across the organization.
- Serves as the PLG subject matter expert, driving adoption of PLG methodologies, leading through influence to build consensus across cross-functional teams, partnering with Engineering, Design, Marketing, and Customer Success to deliver integrated experiences, and presenting PLG performance and roadmap updates to senior leadership.
- Manages and mentors a direct report focused on tactical PLG execution, build and scale the PLG team over time including potential specialized roles such as Checkout PM and Upgrade/Cancel PM, ensure continuous professional growth and development, and foster a culture of experimentation, data-driven decision making, and customer-centricity by encouraging innovative thinking and regular feedback.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent), required
- 5+ years of related experience, required.
- 9+ years of related experience, preferred.
- Proven track record of driving measurable growth through product-led initiatives in SaaS environments.
- Exceptional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with talent for distilling complex, ambiguous challenges into clear strategies.
- Hands-on experience with PLG tools including Pendo, email/in-app messaging platforms, and A/B testing platforms.
- Strong experience with A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely, LaunchDarkly, or similar enterprise tools.
- Experience managing and developing product team members.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, customer lifecycle management, and conversion funnel optimization.
- Ability to travel less than 5% of the time.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment screening process, as required.
