Supervisor, Logistics Nights

Opportunity
To directly supervise a rotating shift of hourly shipping/receiving workers engaged in the shipping/receiving of Vikrell molding compound and molded bathing components. Must meet posted shipping schedules while ensuring quality, safety, and cost standards are met.
Specific Responsibilities
- Assign labor force to appropriate tasks in line with efficient crewing needs and contractual requirements.
- Ensures that all process and quality specifications are followed in shipping/receiving of scheduled components.
- Responsible for monitoring shipping results and ensure that budget rates are exceeded.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of process and equipment in order to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Ensures that all shift employees are adequately trained in the necessary process procedures to accomplish assignments efficiently.
- Hold or participate monthly safety meetings with shift employees to communicate the importance of safe work practices. Monitor and enforce all safety rules.
- Administer labor contract, plant rules and handle appropriate discipline.
- Continuously strive to improve process, process equipment and procedures.
- Encourage shift employees to improve processes.
- Understand and enforce all procedures related to safe handling of hazardous materials and instruct subordinates in same.
- Trained in all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies, and procedures.
Skills/Requirements
- College degree in related field or equal experience in a supervisory role.
- Experience and demonstrated success in leadership position requiring accomplishment of standards or goals through subordinates.
- Strong communication skills.
